Overton Named AAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week

East Carolina Baseball Officially Opens Fall Practice
Despite inclement weather in the area over the last couple days, the East Carolina baseball team under direction of second-year head baseball coach Cliff Godwin, officially opened fall practice last weekend. The Pirates, who began individual workouts in late August, were set to start team practice on Friday, Sept. 25 but weather conditions forced Godwin to reschedule practice and scrimmage sessions. ECU finally got on the field in a team environment on Sunday, Sept. 27 for a brief scrimmage and weather pending, will be back on the field, Wednesday Sept. 30 for its second intra-squad scrimmage starting around 3 p.m. (ET).
