Lifetime Recognition Through Endowment Giving

Following the funding of an Endowment over a five-year pledge period, a donor will receive Pirate Club priority recognition moving forward. Please note: Funded implies that contributions were made on a cash or marketable securities basis, or if other than same, assets contributed have been converted within the five-year funding period to cash. The following Endowment amounts will provide Pirate Club members with annual fund season ticket seating and other priority for the lives of a donor and donor’s spouse as listed.

Funded Endowment Lifetime Annual Fund Recognition
$30,000 Purple Pirate
$50,000 Golden Pirate
$75,000 Jolly Roger
$110,000 Scholarship
$170,000 Bronze Sabre

$350,000 Golden Sabre
$550,000 Platinum Sabre

Already Have an Endowment?

Donors who have already funded an endowment may receive benefits at a higher annual giving level by making an annual IMPACT Fund contribution equal to the difference between their endowed recognition level and the desired annual fund level.

For example, a donor with a funded $50,000 Golden Pirate Endowment who wishes to receive Jolly Roger annual fund benefits may contribute the difference between the current Golden Pirate and Jolly Roger annual giving levels.

Recognition for Planned Gifts

Certain irrevocable planned gifts may qualify for cumulative giving credit, endowment recognition and donor acknowledgment while helping build the long-term strength of ECU Athletics.

Because planned gifts mature in the future, they do not provide annual seating and parking benefits associated with funded endowments. However, qualifying gifts may receive recognition based upon the charitable contribution value established at the time the gift is created.
